About Sonic Sanctuary Studios
Our History
Sonic Sanctuary Studios was founded in 2010 by veteran sound engineer, Ethan Blake. Ethan, having spent years working in various studios across the United States, envisioned a recording haven in the heart of Nashville that catered to both established artists and emerging talents. He wanted to create a space where creativity could flourish without the constraints of overly commercialized studio environments.
Initially, the studio occupied a small space on Music Row, equipped with a modest collection of analog gear. However, Ethan's reputation for meticulous sound and genuine passion for music quickly spread throughout the Nashville music scene. Word-of-mouth recommendations fueled the studio's growth, and within a few years, Sonic Sanctuary Studios relocated to its current, larger facility just a few blocks away.
The move allowed for the addition of state-of-the-art digital equipment, alongside the classic analog pieces that had defined the studio's signature sound. Over the years, Sonic Sanctuary has played host to a diverse range of artists, from country music legends to up-and-coming indie bands, solidifying its position as one of Nashville's most respected recording studios.
In 2018, Sonic Sanctuary underwent a significant renovation, upgrading its acoustics and adding a dedicated mastering suite. The studio also invested in immersive audio technology, allowing it to cater to the growing demand for Dolby Atmos and other surround sound formats. Today, Sonic Sanctuary Studios continues to evolve, embracing new technologies while staying true to its original vision of providing a supportive and inspiring environment for artists to create their best work.
